No longer just a condiment

Dress, I.Candy • Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony, Rome • Belt, Hues • Rings, Aldo
Leather studded wrap, Extremefinds Co. • Black cord bracelet, Mia Casa

Mustard the color, is all the craze this coming season. I'm starting to love this color as my favorite season for fashion (read: fall fashion) is approaching. I don't actually think I look particularly fantastic on it, but it's such a gorgeous color, couldn't resist it! So spicing off wardrobe palettes from now on, expect more mustard and other colors that are trending this fall. We may not actually have that season here (hence the hottest fall color-mustard in a summer dress), but fashion is fashion and trend is universal, we can wear anything regardless of where we are.

The first time I saw Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony "Mary Jane" platform clogs, I instantly feel in love with them and told myself that I need to have one. Finally found this type at Rome and bought it right away during the PORT 88 bazaar. Rome is one of the few online stores here that I've found selling this type, so if you're also eyeing to buy one of these just check out Rome. Anyway, what I love about this shoe is that it is a perfect combination of mary jane, clogs and platform pumps. It also got a certain charm that is far-out, fun, funky, and fresh looking. The added bow on it is a nice playful touch that keeps this shoe feminine and youthful, you can actually detach the bow off at the vamp in case you want it to look a bit formal. Talk about cute and cool shoes!

  6. Mustard yellow is definitely my favorite color! But I try to stay away from it because it's the color that I tend to gravitate to at bazaars aside from hot pink (we don't want to be dressed in too much of one color now do we ;)).

Rome has such a gorgeous collection of shoes, I like the one you have on but I'm not sure my ankles are equipt to walk around something that high...I will give it a try one day, eventually. I did see gorgeous oxford platforms that I'm contemplating over. *le sigh* Girls and shoes, the perfect match :)

  20. Love mustard! More than anything I love your Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony shoes! I was obsessed with them all summer but didn't jump on it because I couldn't bear the thought of a closed toe in the heat. Anyway, long story short, I missed out and can't find them in my size anywhere. Glad it all worked out for you!
