Meet the new faces of Redhead

Every girl has a dream and many girls would dream of becoming a model. Well, who wouldn't? For the third straight year, Redhead, SM Department Store’s Girls Teens’ Wear premier fashion brand has once again made modeling dreams an unimaginable reality thanks to the launch of the Redhead Model Search 2012. 

Girls joined the nationwide search via online submission, in-store submission or visiting the Redhead Model Search mall tour where they got a mini make-over from Maybelline and strut their stuff on the Redhead runway. 

Several promising talents were discovered at the search, but only lucky thirteen emerged and were chosen to carry on their quest for fashion model status. They were Ace Morales, Anna Crisostomo, BencelleBanzon, Ideweiss Omelig, Janine Barnedo, Kimberly Tolentino, Marie Grace Ramis, Nina Villanueva, Patricia Advincula, Pauline Quintas, Sirene Sutton, Sofia Sibug and Vanessa de los Reyes. 

To prove their worth, the top 13 contestants underwent a training series of lectures and challenges prepared by the Masters School for Models. The training aimed to educate the top 13 as industry experts shared their knowledge on modeling, posing, ramping and make-up.

Ultimately, the challenges separated the stars from the aspirants and the top three winners were determined based on their performance during the challenges as well as the public’s vote. Sirene Sutton, Kimberly Joy Tolentino and Nina Villanueva passed the challenges with flying colors and as part of their winnings, the three will each receive a one-year modeling contract from Elite Models, a cash prize and a redhead clothing allowance. They really shone and embodied the spirit of the Redhead clothing brand- young, chic and fashionable. Congratulations Sirene, Kimberly and Nina!

Redhead Model Search Mall Tour

When SM Department Store’s premier Girls Teens Wear brand recently launched the Redhead Model Search to find the next three ambassadors for the clothing brand, the answer was clear as hundreds of young, chic and fashionable girls flocked to the Virtual Catwalk tour at the SM Malls to join the search.

With a total of four stops during the mall tour, aspiring models comprised of students and young professionals, turned their modeling dreams into a glamorous reality as they walked the Redhead Virtual Catwalk and had a blast. Not only did the participants get to strut their stuff in front of the camera (photo shoot and a VTR on the ramp), but they also got free mini makeovers/make up session courtesy of Maybelline, plus free giveaways from the sponsors. 

I along with other SM GTW blogger ambassadors also dropped by during the mall tour to give some tips on modeling and also invited the young ladies to take on the challenge. All in all, it was a successful event!

SM Girls Teens’ Wear Redhead Model Search 2012

Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Redhead Model? Well, now is your chance! The Model Search is on! SM Girls Teens’ Wear is now looking for the next batch of Redhead Models this 2012! The search is open for girls 15 to 25 years old, single and at least 5’1” in height.

From July 13 to September 6, simply purchase P399.75 worth of any regular priced item of the brand Redhead found at the Girls Teen’s Wear section at all SM Department stores nationwide to qualify you to register. Each P399.75 single receipt corresponds to a unique registration code which can be redeemed at booths found inside the Girls Teen’s Wear section, along with an application form. 

Fill out the needed details required and make sure to submit a full body photo and a close up head shot photo with each application form. There are 2 ways to join: (1) submit application forms at designated booths at the GTW section at SM Department stores or (2) online submission at www.sm-gtw.com or facebook.com/sm.gtw. Last day for submission of all application forms is on September 6, 2012.

Announcement of the Top 12 finalists will be made on-line by September 14. They will undergo training modules on make-up, styling and modeling. Public voting will be open from September 14 until September 27 for the Top 3 winners.

The 3 Redhead winners will be announced and presented to the public during the Candy Magazine Annual Fair on September 29, 2012.

Glamorous prizes await the top 3 winners including a 1-year contract with Elite Models Inc, Redhead clothing allowance, a 1-year subscription to Candy Magazine and cash prize worth P40,000.
