Day Job

Blazer, Thrifted • Two-toned buttondown shirt, Primadonna • Pants, Bench • Pumps, Parisian • Belt, Robinsons

A new chapter. After a year of doing freelance work, I'm now officially employed and working full time. My work here is not exactly in line to my profession as a Biologist and to my sideline as a Stylist, but it's a great chance I can't pass up. Still can't help but to stop and think if I made the right move though, but negative thinking aside- I'm sure venturing into this company will help me gain lots of experiences and opportunities, that I will surely need in the near future. Let's see how it goes, wish me luck!

Stepping out of comfort zone

Top, WAGW • Pants, bought at Port88 bazaar • Shoes, Primadonna • Bangles, Forever 21 • Bead cuff, Tomato

This kind of pants only reminds me of one thing and that is, pajamas! Fortunately, Pajama dressing is a huge trend that this boudior-inspired wear can now be worn out on the streets. When incorporating pajama dressing into your style, it wouldn’t be ideal to pajama dress from head-to-toe unless you are bold enough. Mix-matching is very important in this trend, so look for clothes that all work together. You want to look comfortably-chic, not sloppy so when you are wearing a printed pajama-style pants keep the rest of your outfit simple and just put on minimal accessories.

Undernearth the night sky

Top, Primadonna • Shorts, Forever 21 • Pumps, Elegance by SM • Cuff, +Ruckus

We all have those days, you know, the ones when you are too tired, lazy and also a little bit melancholy. And what's the hardest thing in the world to do when you’re not in the mood? Deciding what to wear. It's crucial not to look lazy when you're lazy, If you know what I mean. For me, the perfect outfit for this off day has to be easy and comfortable. I don’t know about you, but when I feel like dressing lazy, I like wearing shorts and loose fitting top. They're an easy piece to work comfort into your lazy day wardrobe. To wrap up, I just wear a pretty pair of heels and I'm all good.

Not all that glitters is gold

Sweater and Pants, Thrifted • JC Lita-inspired boots, Primadonna • Necklace, Forever 21/SM Accessories • Connector ring, Forever 21

All that glitters is, well, glitter! It has been everywhere from jackets, to dresses, to tops, to shoes and in so many other items. It's one of the hottest item of the season aside from sequins and metallics of course. I admit, I'm bedazzled with all things that glitter and sparkle these days!

When going for a statement top, keep the bottom simple. Otherwise, things get too tacky. Just keep your accessories simple. There’s already a lot going on with the outfit in terms of embellishment so you need not to overwhelm it with more pieces.

Make sure to add more bling to your style through glitter this holiday season! It's the perfect time of the year to sparkle and shine!

Leather jacket, Thrifted • Tanktop, Zara • Mullet skirt, Style District • JC Lita-inspired boots, Primadonna
Necklaces, SM Accesories/Forever 21/Call It Spring • Ring, SM Accessories

What I wore to the event I went to last Friday. Lawryeng Castro, a fellow blogger and friend of mine, asked me to be part of the panel of judges on a Fashion show during the USC Week of CEU Makati. I was both excited and nervous to be a judge, I want them to have a great impression when they see me so, I really made it a point to dress up and what's more perfect to wear on this occassion than this mullet skirt, right?

Thank you CEU-Makati for the warm welcome and for having me as one of the judges for the fashion show. Congratulations Fiercesyonistas for winning! You can check out the photos from the show here.

The heat is on

Buttondown, Thrifted • Top, WAGW • Shorts and Bracelets, Forever 21 • Necklace, Call It Spring • Bag, Thrifted • Wedge, Primadonna

It was scorching hot and humid today, it really feels like summer all over again so I decided not to wear anything black or dark but just cool and warm colors. Wearing light colored clothes really helps to cool down in this kind of weather because light colored clothing will reflect light better. The more light you reflect means the less heat your clothing will absorb and the cooler you will be. Anyway, to make this clothing color analysis story short, I opted for summer-esque look.

Threw on this loose-fitting sleeveless top and button down that is of thin and light cloth material, as they allow skin to breath better. You all know by now that I love wearing shorts but today it was extra functional because it felt cooler. Let's not forget the feet most of all, open toe shoes are perfect for this for it will let your feet breath easy.

So glad I survived this hot day and didn't end up looking like a hot mess.

Primadonna contest prize winner

Remember the "Primadonna style challenge" I joined (here)? Drowning Equilibriums has partnered with Primadonna for this giveaway. Well.. I love Primadonna shoes so much that I pushed my luck in joining the contest. I submitted and blogged about my outfits wearing Primadonna shoes (here). A few days ago, I found out that I won the contest! and boy was I extremely happy!

So earlier this afternoon, I claimed my prize at Primadonna's flagship store at SM Megamall. I was really excited to have my hands (or feet actually!) on the prize already that I went right away the day after Pax instructed us to go. Too bad, I was not able to meet Denise (Primadonna's owner) and Pax (of Drowning Equilibriums), would've love to meet them, Thank you so much for choosing me as one of the winners! sorry I was not able to thank you gorgeous ladies personally. I would also like to thank Ate Juvy for assisting me earlier.

The prize was any shoe of my choice and so I chose this wedge/clogs on tan color from their new collection. I think that this shoe is perfect for fall/autumn. I know we don't have that season here in the Philippines, but it's great to play around with the fashion trend on clothes and shoes that the season brings. I cannot wait to use these shoe on my fall-inspired looks that I'll be sporting this coming month.

Do visit Primadonna store. They really have an amazing racks of shoes, you can find every style that you can think of - whether it be chic, feminine and edgy, or flats and heeled shoes, you can definitely find the shoe that suits your style. I swear, you would love it as much as I do.
