Show your Stripes

Zara buttonup shirt / Bench pants / Aldo sneakers / Forever 21 necklace, chain bracelet and rings / Robinsons belt

One the top trends emerging for Spring Summer 2013 and my personal favorite, is black and white stripes. Stripes are always fun and black and white is always classic, but adding in the graphic element of variegated stripes makes a huge statement. I am in love with this kind of piece that always gives anyone who wears it a fun, edgy look.

She Wolf

Forever 21 jersey tanktop and bracelets / Bench pants / Aldo sneakers

Shirts emblazoned with the faces of various animals are making a wild statement and seen everywhere these days. I guess the reason why it's so in, is because it's super comfortable to wear, versatile and the best of all - it is possible to wear them in various interesting combinations. But as for me, I always go edgy with it.

Mostly Neutrals

Thrifted blazer / Redhead buttondown shirt / Forever 21 shorts, sunnies and bracelet / Aldo sneakers

Wearing black and brown together in the same ensemble is not only chic and fashion-forward, but it’s a super-simple way to spice up an all-neutral outfit. Remember that neutrals go with everything! Neutrals, after all, go with every color, you can wear them with pretty much anything including each other.

Inverted Cosmos

Thrifted jacket / Folded & Hung tshirt / K2 skirt / Aldo sneakers

I was looking around the mall the other day and spotted this hipster shirt over at the men's section. For some odd reason, the girls graphic shirts are no where as cool as the guys so, I always tend to like guy's shirts much more. Besides the design, I really like the comfort and fitting of these tees, they scream tomboy in the most unbelievably cool way and they totally fit my style. So yeah, I just buy the smallest size I can fit in, and roll with it.

Pitch Black

For Me buttondown shirt / Forever 21 shorts / Aldo sneakers

Nothing's better than an all black-ensemble, it's clean, polished and definitely a go-to color if I’m struggling for what to wear or just want to be comfortable. Here, I tried to make an all-black outfit look less boring by paying more attention to unique detailing and breaking up textures. So make sure you wear different materials of black within the outfit, this will help create dimension and contrast within.

Devoted To Denim

Oxygen denim buttondown shirt and bracelet / Forever 21 shorts / Aldo sunnies / Vans sneakers

Denim buttondown shirts has certainly been a major staple in my closet. Personally, I love my denim shirts because they can be dressed up or dressed down, they can be worn with any separates and they provide an effortlessly cool layer to any outfit. It is really one piece of clothing that I would never get tired of wearing.

Stripes is too mainstream

Forever 21 top and shorts / Aldo boots

Yesterday was full of errands and activities - returned wardrobe pull outs from 4 brands at Rockwell, watched a movie with my friends, attended HIRAYA event in support of my friend and shobe, Bianca (if you are reading this, thanks again for inviting me) and then to cap off the night, me and my friends had drink. On a busy day like this, I really want to dress comfortably as much as possible. And I have been most comfortable in shirt and shorts combo. The outfit may be simple but all you need is a statement top and/or shoes and it will instantly amp up your look.

Sunday Morning Rain is Falling

Leather jacket, Thrifted • Dress, Pink Manila • Boots, Aldo
Rainy days might leave you feeling gloomy but it is not an excuse to dress down. This weather is an opportunity to play with our clothes and experiment on layers which we can’t do during hot weather.

A weekend of everything that flies

Plaid shirt, Thrifted • Tanktop, Zara • Shorts, Pink Manila • Boots, Aldo • Belt, Landmark • Rings and Bracelets, Forever 21/Extremefinds/H&M

Yesterday, I went to the 17th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta held at Clark Freeport, Pampanga. It was my first time to attend the festival, and so I took the opportunity to get the Coachella/Glastonbury vibe on, hence the festival-dressing outfit. The whole venue really reminds me so much of Coachella/Glastonbury, because of the several tents set-up, stalls of food, music, picnic on the grass grounds and the sea of people!

All in all, I enjoyed the sight of the sunrise of hot air balloons of differing designs and sizes, flying kites, different training aircraft, helicopters, commercial and light planes and air rescues, sky diving and paragliding stunts. Here are the rest of the photos I took from the festival -
