Pumped Up Kicks

Let’s just talk about the shoes, because that’s what this one is all about. The idea of a hidden heeled sneaker first caught my eye when celebrities, fashionistas and bloggers around the world began sporting the ultra chic Isabel Marant versions. Since then, I've always wished that someone would make one that I can actually afford and have. Now the girly meets sporty rendition has the likes and I recently spotted one at Topshop. So what's so great about these wedge sneakers? The hybrid is both fashionable and functional, with chunky heels built into the sporty look. You get the casual look of sneakers, but the feeling you get from walking in heels. We rarely ever associate sneakers with style, but this current footwear craze may have changed this for good. It's not practical to run in these 'sneakers' but they're probably be one of the more comfortable and unique pair of heeled shoes you'll own. I love my pair, and I will probably invest in another pair of wedge sneakers soon! So, take your kicks up a notch with wedge sneakers too!

Whenever I don't feel like dressing up too much and have wardrobe pull outs and styling work to do, I try to dress up comfortably so I can move around freely, thus the tomboy dressing. Speaking of, yesterday I had styling work, I co-styled Bryan Termulo for his second album cover and the other for a fashion editorial. Really enjoyed the work yesterday! Can't wait to show you guys the final outcome.

Went to Vietnam for a few days to have a little vacation. I spent those three short days, strolling around the city, visiting tourist spots, trying out vietnamese foods and well of course, shopping! Decided to wear colorful tribal ethnic-inspired pieces and floral to make the outfit look fun and interesting. Prints are really my choice of outfit during vacations because it always fancy up your look while keeping it simple.

I picked out these clothes, practically grabbing what I could see in sight at my closet for only seconds like there was some styling challenge going on but, I was just delusional. I've been a prisoner inside my room for days now because of the destructive typhoon that slammed the region. Aside from the fact that I ran out of things to do, I was just occupied worrying about all the floods and havoc that was happening around the whole time, and damn that was really stressing! Anyway, thankful that the storm has pass now, hope everyone is doing fine. 

Where were we? oh outfit! yes! did some quick change and dash out of the house to do some activities. Opted for layers because of the cold wind that's still in the air. I always love layering with blazers, it's the perfect cover up for this kind of weather and they look chic and classy, I love 'em period. I like to be a little bit chillier on the bottom so I threw on shorts, blue shorts to add color to the look. Wrapped up the look with my favorite sneakers and some rocker vibe accessories. There! hope you like the quickest look I've put on.

No longer just a condiment

Mustard the color, is all the craze this coming season. I'm starting to love this color as my favorite season for fashion (read: fall fashion) is approaching. I don't actually think I look particularly fantastic on it, but it's such a gorgeous color, couldn't resist it! So spicing off wardrobe palettes from now on, expect more mustard and other colors that are trending this fall. We may not actually have that season here (hence the hottest fall color-mustard in a summer dress), but fashion is fashion and trend is universal, we can wear anything regardless of where we are.

The first time I saw Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony "Mary Jane" platform clogs, I instantly feel in love with them and told myself that I need to have one. Finally found this type at Rome and bought it right away during the PORT 88 bazaar. Rome is one of the few online stores here that I've found selling this type, so if you're also eyeing to buy one of these just check out Rome. Anyway, what I love about this shoe is that it is a perfect combination of mary jane, clogs and platform pumps. It also got a certain charm that is far-out, fun, funky, and fresh looking. The added bow on it is a nice playful touch that keeps this shoe feminine and youthful, you can actually detach the bow off at the vamp in case you want it to look a bit formal. Talk about cute and cool shoes!

At times when I don't really feel like dressing up, I just throw on easy pair of denim shorts. It's easy and cool to wear, you can never go wrong with it. Especially with this weather, when the heat is on, denim shorts is the way to go. To go with it, I opted for blue shorts and threw it with a printed tank top and button down shirt atop, this makes it look very casual but cool and chic day outfit. Although I apologize because I don't have a photo showing that look, I purposely took off my button down shirt when these photos were taken because it may not look obvious, but I was dripping in sweat but nonetheless, the shorts were refreshing to wear! and what better way to even off the casual than to wear these flashy accessories, loving the rock 'n roll vibe it brings.
