Military Mode

Shirt, Topshop • Anorak, c/o Shopaholic at SM GTW • Shorts, c/o Redhead at SM GTW • Boots, Soule Phenomenon
Taking advantage of today's rainy weather by jumping into my favorite A/W12 trend, the military style. When wearing this trend, you do not have to go over the top, all you need to do is add just a touch of something that looks military inspired. The green tones in these clothes looks best with neutral tones like white, black and khaki.

Goodbye Ombre

Jumper, Thrifted • Bandage Skirt, K2 • Wedge Sneakers, Topshop

I guess the title gave it away already, but yes, finally after almost a year of sporting the look, the time has come to say goodbye to my ombre hair. I did love my lighter ends but they were just so frazzled from the bleach and the blonde seemed to go a yellowish color, it looked so dry and unhealthy. And honestly, I'm bored with the look of my hair. I'm not cutting it anytime soon, so I just decided to get my hair back to the usual ash brown hair color. I'm happy with the change, it already looks so much healthier now plus I think the dark tone gave me a new look. What do you think? yay or nay?

Sporty Saturday

Tee, Zara • Shorts, Forever 21 • Wedge sneaker, Topshop

This is one of the looks you will spot me in on a chill day when I'm just hanging out with my friends doing spontaneous things. I always resort to wearing something comfy which I could freely move around in 'cause I get really hyperactive! Something low-maintenance and carefree, my kind of casual. Have a lovely weekend everyone! xoxo

Pumped Up Kicks

Denim buttondown, Hues • Tanktop/wedge sneakers, Topshop • Skirt, Thrifted (from Tin Iglesias at #BU3)

Let’s just talk about the shoes, because that’s what this one is all about. The idea of a hidden heeled sneaker first caught my eye when celebrities, fashionistas and bloggers around the world began sporting the ultra chic Isabel Marant versions. Since then, I've always wished that someone would make one that I can actually afford and have. Now the girly meets sporty rendition has the likes and I recently spotted one at Topshop. So what's so great about these wedge sneakers? The hybrid is both fashionable and functional, with chunky heels built into the sporty look. You get the casual look of sneakers, but the feeling you get from walking in heels. We rarely ever associate sneakers with style, but this current footwear craze may have changed this for good. It's not practical to run in these 'sneakers' but they're probably be one of the more comfortable and unique pair of heeled shoes you'll own. I love my pair, and I will probably invest in another pair of wedge sneakers soon! So, take your kicks up a notch with wedge sneakers too!

7 for 7 Red Dot Scarf Challenge: 1 out of 7

Scarf, c/o Red Dot • Dress, H&M • Pumps, Rosanna Pena • Belt, Topshop

Who knew scarves could be used as apparel? A large scarf can be easily transformed into so many ways, you can wear it as a- top, wrap around skirt, head wrap, necklace, belt and so much more. The opportunity to create your signature garment using a scarf is endless. On a more positive note, just think of how light you will be able to travel by replacing your existing blouses and skirts with scarves. All you need to do is make a transition of the scarf from day-to-night look and you really don't need a wardrobe change. It is indeed the most versatile item every woman should own.

In relation to that, I've been chosen and challenged by Red Dot to wear this scarf in 7 different styles in 7 separate days. For my first challenge, I styled this Red Dot scarf as a kimono. To do this, all you need do is fold the scarf into half, tie both ends, then insert your arms on the opening (same way when you wear a shirt). Hope you love the styling! watch out for my next style with this Red Dot scarf!

Uptown girl

Dress, Forever 21 • Belt, Topshop • Pumps, Rosanna Pena • Bracelets, Extremefinds/Forever 21 • Bag, Charles&Keith

This dress really gives off that retro vibe, don't you think? Maybe because of its colors and style, that's why that song "uptown girl" instantly played inside my head. Anyway, this March, I'll be wearing more summer colors and resort-inspired outfits, to kick off the summer which I can't hardly wait. Today, let me start off with a floral ensemble.

CHALK: Fashion Rocks 2011

Last Saturday night, I went to attend Chalk magazine's 11th year anniversary celebration held at the Ronac Art Center in Greenhills.

Before anything else, here's what I wore: Blazer, Thrifted • Leopard printed tanktop, NY square by SM • Orange shorts, True Love by SM • Wedge platforms, Jellybean • Purse, Topshop • Cuff, SM Accessories • Ring, New Moon

For the past 11 years, Chalk magazine, the no.1 campus magazine in the country, has been the ultimate guide of teenagers in surviving and enjoying campus life. Chalk has been featuring on and off campus activities, as well as fashion, beauty, and lifestyle articles.

The show was hosted by campus favorites, heartthrob Dino Imperial and gorgeous dj Andi Manzano.

Opening message from the Editor-in-chief of Chalk Magazine, Nana Caragay.

Before the start of the fashion show, there were ice-breaker games. I was picked to participate on the "pass the logo" game. In this game, we have to pass along the logo while the music is playing and when the music stops, the last person who is holding the logo will be out. From 5 girls, me and Carmen were the ones left in the game. VXI is so generous that they declared us both winners! and we won 1,500.00 worth of GCs. There was another ice-breaker game where they gave away Samsung galaxy phone. They also had a raffle draw where they gave away packages and gifts from the sponsors.

And finally.. The fashion show begins!

The first batch were modeled by the people from VXI.

The second batch were graced by UAAP and NCAA basketball players. Ballers turned models!

A special segment featuring Chalk cover boys- San Beda twin towers, Dave and Anthony Semerad.

Photo op of the whole Chalk team with the Semerad twins and the hosts of the show, Dino and Andi.

And it's a wrap! party begins!
